Roland Mouret for Banana Republic

Banana Republic is teaming up with French fashion designer Roland Mouret to create a capsule collection for Fall 2014. The coolest thing about this collaboration is that Mouret hand draped cut and pinned all the pieces using BR’s signature “Sloan” fabric (see my first post about Sloan here)

Per the press release “The Roland Mouret for Banana Republic Collection pushes fashion and function with must-have additions to a stylish modern wardrobe. Key details include bold colourblocking, graphic perforated details, leopard prints, playful proportions and, of course, svelte cuts on everything from blazers and pencil skirts to sheath dresses. Apparel includes petite styles and will range in price from $62 (belt) – $205 (dress)”

I love the curve hugging stapes of Mouret’s dresses and with the “magic” fit of the Sloan fabric in an amazing variety of patterns, I cannot wait to see more images from the collection.

The Roland Mouret for Banana Republic Collection will be featured in Banana Republic’s August campaign, including select print, online, direct mail and in-store.

  1. I guess they’re trying to surprise us by only releasing a plain looking piece. That LBD looks like the Sloan dress BR has in its current collection…
